Stars food trial blog

You may have seen my tweet the end of May 2012 my hoomans went to the Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition. It's a Mars company were they research new food for Pedigree and the other company's they own.
Dad signed Star up for a 3 month trial feeding her on wet and dry food. The reason being Pedigree have just launched a new complete dry food called Vital Protection. We got disturbed from our beds Monday afternoon (30th July) by a delivery man. Hooman not in so the parcel got left outside.

When changing food over you should always introduce it gradually. Decrease old food by 1/5th day 1 and add 1/5th new food. Then day 2 decrease old food by further 1/5th replace with new. Hoomans had to get calculators out to do Stars food for the next 5 days.

Today 1st August is day 1 for star and as you can see from the photo her bowl looks and interesting sight!

Time to mix it in!

My dog Uk Blog

I though it was time for me to tell you about a great app my hooman has on his iPhone. It's called - My Dog Uk app. Before I start the great news is it's free and available on google, android and iPhone. It's also in association with petlog and the kennel club.

This is the home screen with my photo as the background. I want to talk first about the best feature the lost pet alert section. Have you ever thought how many phone calls or visits it would take if you lost your pet. With this app if your dog is registered to the premium petlog service you can notify your dog is lost from the app and they will immediately notify registered agencies such as vets and dog wardens within a 30 mile radius. No need for all those calls.

Another great section is the out and about section with 25,000 dog friendly places in 20 categories.

It also has a place to put your dogs profile and allows multiple dog profiles. Add photos to a wall and summit them to my dog photo wall, pet care, vet care, training advice a lot of features that you may normally need other apps for. The vets information could be useful if you are out and get a problem as it uses the gps on your phone and tells you the nearest vet.

My hooman has lots of dog apps on his phone but this is his favourite. Try it as its fab and better still it's free!

Symply dog food blog

Christmas maybe over for humans but it still continues for me. I'm eating turkey twice a day in the form of turkey kibbles or Symply large dog turkey and rice dog food.
If I don't like it there's a 100% money back guarantee. But I do so it won't be needed.

The kibbles are nice circular in shape and still retain there shape when wet with water(the way I like it ! )

My hooman liked it for many reasons
It has a great guide on how much to give me when changing me over from my old food to this gradually. As well as the label saying what it's good for;

The protein contact is 26% which is slightly higher than a Greyhound is advised by many books. I've been on it for a couple of weeks and I haven't suddenly become hyperactive or mad. The good news for the hoomans is the other end is solid so scooping is easy and no smelly windy (or carpet bum as my hoomans call it)

AK Creations rule blog

The weather is getting cooler and darker sooner. Us greys need to be looked after in both of these. My hoomans have discovered a great company AK Creations.

No noms or money is being exchanged for this review. Just a big smile on my face and my other hound friends.

My first buy was their reflective belt. Fits over the head easy and adjustable at the side. So I can wear it with different thickness of jacket.
