Crufts ticket draw blog

Today was the big day I did the draw to decide who won the Crufts tickets.
To make it a fair chance for everyone Dad wrote down all the names down in number order of all the correct emails received. Dad downloaded a random number generator app for his phone.

This was Mom showing me the phone whilst out on our walk to prove it was all fair.
Mom pressed the phone at 12.15 and the first two numbers were 4 then 3.

This means the winners were;

Kryssy , Bedfordshire
And
Carol, Stoke on Trent

Congratulations guys hope you have a fantastic day!

Would love to see a photo of you having fun. My hoomans are going on Sunday so they may see you there or at the tweet up (blog will tell you where we are meeting)

This was years winner a flat coated retriever called Jet incidentally last year was the 120th time the kennel club had organised Crufts.

Waseley hills RGT walk 2 blog

Hoomans had a lovely cooked breakfast and saved Star and I a sausage for after our walk.

30 minutes in the car to Waseley Hills country park. £1.20 into the machine for all day parking and jackets on for our walk.
Stat received her new AK Creation jacket yesterday. I already have one we had loads of people on the walk saying they were smart and where to get them from.

As you can see we are a smart looking pair. Fortunately hoomans had the sense not to have jackets that clashed.
There was about 45 of us it was cold with some snow under our paws. The fog was covering the views. After a 40 minute walk around the park we descended the field back to the car.

Hoomans were lucky in the raffle last but 1 prize - biscuits or greyhound notebook. Had the notebook! We got a sausage nom nom !
Time for a trip back in the car and snooze time!

Worcester woods country park walk blog

This mornings walk was on a new place. Worcester woods country park with Hall Green RGT dogs rehoming centre. That meant a 40 car drive or in my case 40 minutes more shut eye!

Mom had to hold us both why Dad had a tiddle. Apparently hoomans aren't supposed to pee up trees in the woods - oh how boring!
23 dogs (4 wearing we need homes jackets) and hoomans. We went through the woods which weren't too muddy in a loop. After a 40 minutes we arrived back at the cafe.

The cafe was packed its a award winner so the Q must equal that. The raffle was drawn and for a change the hoomans didn't win anything. Star decided to bark at some dogs off the lead but Dad fed us both Wagg tasty bones to keep us quiet. The weather was kind to us so we had a lovely time !

Symply dog food blog

Christmas maybe over for humans but it still continues for me. I'm eating turkey twice a day in the form of turkey kibbles or Symply large dog turkey and rice dog food.
If I don't like it there's a 100% money back guarantee. But I do so it won't be needed.
The kibbles are nice circular in shape and still retain there shape when wet with water(the way I like it ! )
My hooman liked it for many reasons
It has a great guide on how much to give me when changing me over from my old food to this gradually. As well as the label saying what it's good for;
All natural , skin & coat, wheat gluten free, joint health, dental care and it's British !

The protein contact is 26% which is slightly higher than a Greyhound is advised by many books. I've been on it for a couple of weeks and I haven't suddenly become hyperactive or mad. The good news for the hoomans is the other end is solid so scooping is easy and no smelly windy (or carpet bum as my hoomans call it)
For price information and a list of other flavours they do go to Pets Corner website.

Barley's New Years Day blog

Happy new year everyone!

Hoomans had new neighbours flippin noisy party they had plus they spoke funny (Polish). As we are spoilt hounds Dad left chill fm on sleep on the stereo to try and hide the party news and the fireworks. Dad put 60 minutes on the timer, as if it takes that long for a hound like me to fall asleep! Bol !

Not much sleep for any of us though (1.30-6.30) as we were off 100 miles down south to Barley's kennels in Waltham Abbey. These are the kennels I first went to when I retired from my racing days at Romford, Essex.

Virtually no traffic on the motorways so we made it in 2 hours in plenty of time for the 10 open with the walk at 10.30.

About 10 other hounds arrived so as there were plenty of volunteers all the kennel dogs were taken out. My French grandparents got given dogs also. Grand mommy got Lily 15 months and grandad got Shannon 11 months old.

The walk lasted about 50 minutes across the fields and into the woods which were very muddy at times. I remembered where I was and the kennel guys were really pleased to see me.

Hoomans spent some money on fridge magnets and keyrings. The raffle was drawn and we won a really good basket of goodies. Wine, chocolates and Pringles for hoomans and treats for us hounds.

Hoomans had a picnic in the car whilst we crashed out. It was lovely to go back to my old kennels but I love my forever home more !
